Karolin Tampere's participation is supported by KORO / Public Art Norway

Karolin Tampere is a visual artist and curator. The focus in her curatorial work is to approach it as a socio-political arena that has a critical responsibility which can foster alternative understandings of ecology and potentially other models of sustainability. Since 2004 she is regularly contributing to the forever lasting art project Sørfinnset Skole/the nord land, a collaboration with the artists Søssa Jørgensen and Geir Tore Holm located in Gildeskål, North of Norway. In 2003 she and Åse Løvgren initiated the collaboration Rakett. In 2016-2017, she has been a guest curator at Telemark Art Center initiating the group exhibitions FUTURUM – We Move Mountains and When Species Meet. For the period of 2017-2018 she is appointed as curator at the North Norwegian Art Centre in Svolvær, Lofoten.
